How a farm is appraised: the satellite methodology

Appraising a farm goes far beyond looking at comparables. It combines experience, technical expertise, and remote sensing technology to understand the land's true productive potential.

1. Preliminary Work

We analyze satellite imagery, consult INTA soil maps, and gather data from farms previously studied in the area to understand climate, productive suitability, and regional characteristics.

2. Field Visit

We visit the property, identify productive environments, survey boundaries, structures, and the condition of permanent improvements using advanced technology.

3. Report and Valuation

We determine the value of the homestead in relation to the land's productive suitability, weigh market context, and deliver a detailed valuation supported by maps and satellite imagery.
